Welcome to the Appalachian Juju Music Page. Here, music don't just make you wanna do a jig. Like Appalachians have been doing before recorded history, I use music to marry history and memory with banjos and a beat. Every song offers a rich tapestry of Appalachian history, traditions, and culture, both past and present, all sprinkled with good old Appalachian porch light storytelling.

No. Appalachian music grew from hardship and joy equally. It was, and still is, a way to teach family history, remember an event the textbooks were intent on erasing', and capture the culture with a tune.
Sometimes it is a guitar, sometimes a couple spoons, washboard, and an old moonshine jug to blow into add a little bass. We sing at work and play, when mourning' and celebrating'. You'll find those echoes here. Like someone singing in a holler, it'll bounce around and come back a little different time to time but the nugget of truth in it never fades.
